And, in its southest part, where it enters Asian continent, there is a fantastic and wonderful formation of nature - Putorana Plato. When you get here, you start filling the whole unreality of the your surroundings: the forces of nature lifted this part of the land, which consists of basalt rocks. Some rivers have changed their routes and made deep canyons. Deep, clear lakes have appeared in some places. The water is rather cold, because ice melts only in July here. But during short summer lakes manage to collect some warmth and can soften up the arrival of the long winter. There is a special climate in this region, which allows watching genuine flora and fauna of taiga, while on the top of the plato there is arctic tundra.
